Management Team

Jim Odom joined GENBAND in November of 1999 and has led the professional services strategy, focus, and implementation for the company. Odom currently manages quality assurance for GENBAND. Odom came to GENBAND following a 20-year career with Motorola, where he held several leadership positions in the area of telecommunications IC development. He served as the Director of Broadband Products, which included R&D, design, marketing, and P&L management for industry-leading mixed-signal embedded DSP transceivers for DSL and ISDN standards and cellular radio baseband processors for GSM/CDMA/TDMA standards. Odom was also responsible for partnerships, alliances, market development activities, business planning, and manufacturing strategy associated with these products. Odom holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering technology from the University of Houston.
