Staff Accountant

Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this accounting position will be primarily responsible for monthly accounting close and forecast to actual variance analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly P&L forecast to actual variance analysis.
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
• Record fixed assets.
• Prepare journal entries, as necessary, to complete the accounting close process.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits as necessary.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• P&L forecast to actual analysis experience
• Journal entry and reconciliation experience
• 1-2 years accounting experience preferred
• Strong accounting, reconciliation and analytical skills
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrate discretion and independent judgment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products necessary 
• Oracle experience a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
CPA or CPA Candidate preferred
